AML

Nova Wallet is built on Web3 principles — giving users full custody of their assets and access to decentralized payment tools. But while we believe in self-sovereignty, we also ensure that all crypto activity processed through our platform complies with anti-money laundering (AML) standards.

That’s why we integrate directly with SumSub’s blockchain AML solution, designed specifically for Web3 apps.

What We Do: Real-Time AML Screening on the Blockchain

Every time a user sends or receives funds through Nova Wallet, the associated wallet address and transaction metadataare automatically screened using SumSub’s on-chain AML engine. This includes:

  • Wallet reputation scoring (based on behavioral patterns, past transactions, known risks)

  • Screening against global blacklists and sanctions databases

  • Tracing of source of funds through wallet history and smart contract interactions

  • Risk-based tagging of assets (e.g. mixers, darknet, scams, DeFi exploits)

We don’t collect personal documents at this stage. Instead, we analyze blockchain behavior to determine whether a wallet or transaction poses a compliance risk.

Working with Licensed Digital Asset Platforms

Nova Wallet collaborates exclusively with licensed digital asset platforms and payment providers in Thailand. All fiat settlements and asset conversions (e.g. to THB) are processed through legally registered, regulated companies — SEC-approved exchanges for crypto liquidity.

We only support legal and transparent assets — specifically:

  • USDT (Tether) on the Kaia network

  • KAIA, the native token of the Kaia blockchain

By limiting support to these assets and partnering with compliant infrastructure, we help prevent money laundering, reduce exposure to high-risk tokens, and ensure the legality of every transaction.

How the AML Flow Works

  1. User initiates a transaction (deposit, withdrawal, or payment)

  2. Nova Wallet checks the wallet address and transaction hash

  3. The request is sent to SumSub’s blockchain risk API

  4. The system performs:

    • Source-of-funds tracing

    • Sanctions & OFAC screening

    • Reputation & anomaly detection

  5. Based on the result, the transaction is:

    • Approved instantly

    • Flagged for additional checks

    • Blocked if it originates from high-risk or sanctioned sources

All of this happens in real time — and invisibly to the user unless intervention is needed.

Built for Compliance, Without Sacrificing Control

Nova Wallet uses SumSub to bridge the gap between self-custody and regulatory clarity. You stay in control of your assets — while we ensure every transaction complies with local and international AML rules.

By combining real-time risk analysis, licensed financial infrastructure, and a clear asset policy, Nova Wallet supports a future where Web3 payments are not just fast — but fully legal and trusted.
